Mission Statement & Values
Mission Statement: We are a community learning to glorify God, live in His presence, and walk in the ways of Jesus.
Intimacy with Jesus is what we as humans were created for: to know and be known by the Lord, to worship and love the triune God with our entire beings, and to walk in tune with the Spirit of God. Intimacy with the Lord is the foundation for how we live life. This reality informs our love for all people, self, and creation. It is the heartbeat of all that we do at River House Youth.
Christian Community provides a place for people to belong and walk along peers and mentors who are learning how to follow God with their lives. No matter the season of our lives, if youth are a part of our community, we will guide them to their true identity: they are sons and daughters of God, made in His image and redeemed by the blood of Jesus.
Holistic Safety (which is physical, social, emotional, and spiritual) allows a person to be open with their pain. This is the first step of healing. Safety is essential for us to become the honest and thriving family that we hope to be in the body of Christ. We’ll strive to be a holistically safe place for youth to encounter our powerful, radical, healing and loving God.
Resilient Disciples: Our aim is to foster for youth experiences with the life changing love of God that they might be equipped to be lifelong messengers and ministers of the gospel of Jesus. We want our youth to graduate from the ministry as ones who love to glorify God, live in His presence, and walk in the ways of Jesus through every season their entire lives.
What to Expect
Fellowship through connection, events, camps, retreats, hangouts, games and outings. Let’s experience the joy of heaven and increase the currency of the kingdom of heaven in our lives: relationships. At River House Youth you will find running partners in the faith to follow after Jesus with.
Worship through music, prayer, art, scripture, etc. Fixing our hearts on Jesus and praising Him is essential to the DNA of our community.
Teaching Jesus through preaching, panels, videos, podcasts with the Word of God being the anchor of all content and allowing the Holy Spirit to move and lead.
Discipling through small group meetings and one on one conversations to draw students to the heart of Jesus and connection with one another.
